Toni & Rachael

Lincolnshire couple Rachael and Toni, a RAF Corporal and Physical Education teacher respectively, celebrated their wedding at North Norfolk coastal wedding venue Titchwell Manor Hotel.

Located in Norfolk where Rachael was born and raised, Titchwell Manor Hotel is a boutique hotel and wedding venue, boasting award-winning food, spectacular coastal and countryside views, and a warm, personal service. The couple had exclusivity of the venue for 24 hours to celebrate.

“We both had the most amazing day, truly special in every way” recalled Rachael.

The couple stayed at the hotel the night before the wedding, meaning that they could unload their various items and decorations before the busy day, and start setting up.

“The wedding morning was easy; the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Amy and the team were all over everything! So, all we had to concentrate on was getting ready. Breakfasts delivered to the rooms for both bridal parties were delicious, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.”

Rachael and Toni had planned for an outside ceremony in the hotel’s beautiful walled garden. “The weather had other plans!” recalled Rachael. Fortunately, Titchwell Manor Hotel has a stunning glasshouse conservatory with views overlooking the idyllic garden, which offers the perfect balance of inside and outside.

“When we both went to the Conservatory for the ceremony, it the first time we got to see the set-up and we were blown away. Amy and the team had done the most wonderful job of setting everything up, and it looked perfect.”

The venue’s dedicated wedding team adore working with lots of different couples, and planning and delivering their beautifully bespoke weddings. On the service of the team, Rachael and Toni reflected:

“We were constantly put at ease by all the Titchwell team, and they handled everything that was thrown at them in the most professional way. Ronaldo was a character and loads of our guests have mentioned what a top guy he was, and went above and beyond throughout the day to ensure everyone had a great time. We couldn’t fault any of the team that was looking after us. Amy was superb throughout planning in the months beforehand and during the day itself. She really is a gem and ensured our day was perfect in every way.”

The couple brought the pride rainbow into their wedding decorations with flags for guests to wave, multicoloured confetti, hanging decorations, rainbow LED ‘love’ letters, and a rainbow wedding cake. They also used colourful smoke bombs to make their photos even more striking!

When planning their wedding with Kirstie, the venue’s Wedding Executive, the couple expressed their desire to have an informal and relaxed vibe to their day, where their guests could have lots of fun. They brought a white bouncy castle and a selection of games to the hotel’s garden, fun props for photos, as well as sweets, cakes and biscuits.

For their wedding breakfast, the award-winning team at Titchwell Manor created a bespoke menu for the couple and their guests, including baked goat’s cheese with roasted fig, balsamic glazed red onions and candied walnuts to start, followed by chicken breast wrapped in Parma ham with potato terrine, roasted carrot, carrot puree with a herb chicken butter sauce, and finished with a lemon syllabub, Italian meringue, lemon sorbet and fresh Norfolk raspberries.

Rachael and Toni ended their incredible wedding day with a lively evening reception and entertainment from a live band, before everyone headed to their luxurious bedrooms located on-site.

“A huge thank you to everyone at Titchwell Manor involved in our ‘Big Gay Day’, we couldn’t have asked for anymore - the venue and staff were all incredible.”
